Introducation:
Taber abrasion tester is suitable for materials such as plastic, paper, coatings, textiles, leather, flooring, etc. This instrument provides a fast and accurate method for research, development, and quality control, complying with multiple international standards including ASTM, ISO, NEMA, TAPPI, DIN, SAE, and JIS.
The upper part of the tester consists of a specimen bracket and a pair of weighted grinding wheels. During testing, the motor drives the specimen fixture to rotate, causing friction between the grinding wheel and the specimen. After the preset number of cycles, the test automatically stops and the degree of wear is observed to evaluate the wear resistance of the material.
