1. Product use:

The tracking tester applies a certain voltage between platinum electrodes of specified size (2mm×5mm) on the surface of solid insulating materials and drips a specified droplet volume of contaminated liquid (0.1% NH 4 CL) at a fixed height (35mm) at a fixed time (30s) to evaluate the tolerance of the surface of solid insulating materials under the combined action of electric field and contaminated medium, and to determine its comparative tracking index (CT1) and tracking resistance index (PT1). It is suitable for the research, production and quality inspection departments of lighting equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, machine tool electrical appliances, motors, power tools, electronic instruments, electrical instruments, and information technology equipment. It is also suitable for the insulation materials, engineering plastics, electrical connectors, and accessories industries.

2. Test principle:

On the surface of solid insulating materials, between platinum electrodes of specified size, a voltage is applied and a conductive liquid of specified droplet volume is dripped to evaluate the leakage resistance of the surface of solid insulating materials under the combined action of electric field and moisture or contaminated medium, and to determine its comparative tracking index and tracking resistance index.

3. Compliance with standards:

The tracking tester, also known as the tracking index tester or tracking index test machine, is a simulation test item specified in IEC60112:2003 "Determination of tracking index and comparative tracking index of solid insulating materials", UL746A, ASTM D 3638-92, DIN53480, GB4207 and other standards.

4. Technical parameters:

1. The distance between electrodes and the height of the tray are adjustable; the force exerted by each electrode on the sample is 1.0±0.05N;

2. Electrode material: platinum electrode

3. Drop time: 30s±0.01s (better than the standard 1 second);

4. The applied voltage is adjustable between 100~600V (48~60Hz);

5. The voltage drop does not exceed 10% when the short-circuit current is 1.0±0.0001A (better than the standard 0.1A);

6. Dropping device: no adjustment is required during the test, and the operation is simple;

7. The drop height is 30~40mm, and the drop size is 44~55 drops/1cm3;

8. When the short-circuit current in the test circuit is greater than 0.5A for 2 seconds, the relay will operate, cut off the current, and indicate that the sample is unqualified;

9. Combustion test area volume: 0.5m3, width 900mm×depth 560mm×height 1010mm, Background is black, background illumination ≤20Lux.

10. Dimensions: width 1160mm × depth 600mm × height 1295mm;

4. How can I install and use the machine?Once you have ordered the testing machines from us, we will send you the operation manual or video in English version through Email.
